Watermarks are often automatically placed on images uploaded to free and paid hosting and servers. If you want to make a watermark yourself, you'll need to use the program Photoshop (Photoshop). And in this tutorial, we'll go through the process of creating and applying a watermark to an image in detail. Let's go!

After starting the program, you need to select the "File" tab and click on the "Create" option. You can also open a new document with the "CTRL+N" combination. For example, let's choose a file size of 600x300, leaving the background transparent.

If you want to put a certain phrase as a watermark, select "Horizontal Text" in the tools. Also there you set the most suitable font and choose other parameters.

The most suitable font for a watermark can't be just one. We like Fira Sans for example because it has big fonts and is very visible in a semi-transparent way.

In most cases the watermark is needed to apply the address of the site or the signature of the author of the image. This way you can promote yourself if the photo will be distributed on other resources.

The "Layers - Layer Style" option allows you to give the brand more effect, it becomes more embossed. Also, the function is triggered by double clicking on the desired layer. We usually just right-click on the layer and choose "Blending Options":
